2012 is an election year at SPTS, too!

This year is an election year for the SPTS, and the Nominating Committee has been busy seeking nominations for the positions of Vice President, Secretary and two positions on the Nominating Committee.

Our Current Slate:

Vice President: Rob Manske (Incumbent)

Secretary: Teresa Schuemann (Incumbent)

Nominating Committee (two vacancies):  Terry Grindstaff, Daniel Lorenz, Ross Nakaji and Heidi Edwards

President Tim Tyler will introduce these individuals at the Business Meeting at CSM, and will open a call for nominations from the floor. Once nominations are closed, the position statements of the persons nominated will be posted within a month of the meeting, prior to the on-line election.

Participants Raise over $2,000 for the American Lake Veterans Golf Course at TCC

Sponsors, golfers and friends of the Section raised over $2,000 to benefit the American Lake Veterans Golf Course at the 2011 Charity Golf Tournament in conjunction with Team Concept Conference.

The Golf and Golf Performance SIG organized the event.

Sixteen golfers hit the links on a beautiful, unseasonably warm day in December. Jim Sims, president of the ALVGC, was on hand to meet with golfers and SPTS Board Members. "It was a great event for a great cause," according to Skip Hunter, Golf and Golf Performance SIG chair. "We want to grow this event over the next few years and create a tradition for SPTS."
